Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask before their first swap. If your question isn't here, our support team is one message away.

Does PEX hold my crypto?+

No. PEX is self-custody. Your wallet signs every transaction and your funds move directly on-chain — PEX never receives a deposit or holds a balance for you.

Do I need an account?+

No account, no sign-up, and no identity check. Connecting a wallet is all that's needed to get a quote and swap.

Which networks are supported?+

Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Solana on mainnet, plus Sepolia, BNB Testnet, and Polygon Amoy for practice swaps with free test coins.

How long does a swap take?+

A same-chain swap usually settles in one block — seconds to a minute. Cross-chain routes depend on the bridge involved and typically finish in a few minutes.

What fees do I pay?+

You pay the network gas fee and whatever the underlying liquidity route charges. The estimate shown before you confirm already includes those costs.

Why does my quote change?+

Prices move. Quotes refresh regularly, and slippage tolerance protects you from receiving less than expected — if the market moves past it, the swap reverts instead of filling badly.

What is testnet mode?+

A practice mode. Switch the swap box to Testnet, grab free coins from the linked faucet, and run a real on-chain transaction that costs nothing of value.

My transaction failed. What now?+

A reverted transaction returns your funds minus the gas spent. If a cross-chain swap looks stuck, open the explorer link and send us the transaction hash through Support.

Can I cancel a swap?+

Once a transaction is signed and broadcast it can't be cancelled. Review the route carefully before confirming.

Is PEX safe to use?+

PEX never asks for a seed phrase or private key and never requests unlimited spending approvals you can't revoke. Always confirm you're on the correct domain before connecting.
